Sicer v francoščini, ampak pove bistvo.
Vozil se bo Forester (samo 5% predelan, 95% je serijskih delov) v skupini FREE, predelan je pa v Subaru francija.
Opremila sta ga Morgan Picard in Denis Schurger, vozil pa bo Morganov sin Bruno Picard s sovoznikom Denis Schurger.

P.S. Če imata Picarda kaj skupnega z zvezdnimi stezami in kapitanom Picardom, bodo lahko tut kej hitreje vozil!!!

ja res je, na letošnjem dakarju bomo lahko videli tudi skoraj serijskega foresterja! poleg številke 17 med motoristi (Stanovnik), bo treba navijat še za številko 360 med avtomobilisti...

Morgan Picard: « Subaru liked our good natured story»
The challenge: make the Subaru Forester useable, “it is closer to a sedan than a 4X4”, on the Dakar tracks. To do this, Morgan Picard has united his talents with those of engineer Denis Schurger, who joined the project. To finish, the former man in charge of Toyota’s competition department accepted to the driving duties, just this once, to test the car on sand and not on dirt. Tempted and enthusiastic, the team is backed by Subaru. Morgan underlines this jokingly: “I believe they liked our good natured story…” Having become a “TI rally raid”, the Picard-Schurger version of the Forester was built essentially from off the shelf parts. “What is great with a Subaru is that everything is adaptable”, says Denis. “We can take a piece from one model and put n on another…it’s a real mechanical wonder!”
“Our car almost nearly corresponds to that of a standard production car,” says Morgan. “Our objective is to take advantage of the Subaru construction in taking this car on terrain that it unfamiliar with.”
But to stay on the Dakar terrain, Morgan Picard, a rookie on this event, is very aware he has to “be restrained”. Because the Forester is the type of model with which, “you try to drive fast”. His co-driver Denis Schurger doesn’t have any worries when it comes to this. “Morgan is a very good driver, he has endurance and is, especially, reasonable. He knows all about the car.” With him, Denis Schurger hopes to, without any problems; go all the way on his seventh Dakar.
